No just kidding.
It's Natsu Doki Lipstick.
Let's pretend nakki is Ai and then this would be perfect for here.
But seriously.
This is my favorite performance ever. I converted it and put it on my ipod and I watch it way more than I should.
Hell yes. Maimi and Captain are FIERCE.
This song is perhaps the most controvercial song that has come out in H!P recently. I've heard of a lot of people that hate it, and only a small amount of people who like it, and an even smaller amount of people who love it. I just happen to be one of those people who really love it, which I've probably made obvious by now.
(EDIT: Srry broomhead, I only read about people who didn't like it at this point..
also, I totally meant the song >>; )
Moving on...
The first clip in the PV is possibly my favorite dance shot version. I like the whole, only seeing the silhouettes, with the light shining from behind and the water like effects on the floor. All in all, this dance shot seems like exactly what everyone hated about Resonant Blue- It's too dark, but they manage to make it look really cool
A quick shot of the second dance shot. It looked like a pimp house, but I'm thinking its supposed to be a palace. You get a clear shot of legs. Did it occur to anyone that Reina's legs are the only ones completely shown? I haven't yet decided if that means anything, considering Aichan clearly dominates this song, though Reina comes in a close second.
The close up of Reina's face. The close-up "set" looks a bit resurrected from Kanashimi Twilight. No, not the white background. Their attitudes, the way they gesture while they sing. It really reminds me of one of my favorite music videos. Perhaps that makes me a bit biased.
Aichan's here, completely rocking the pimp hat and looking completely hot. Why does everyone hate her? Was it her lack of personality? So what. She's hot.
There's a few things I have to say about the dance. It may quite possibly the hardest dance H!P girls have accomplished. Some may argue, saying certain songs may just be harder. But they only look harder, because some of the girls may not be able to do them. C\C has many hardly coordinated moves that could probably only be accomplished if you have a good sense of rythm and dancing skills. The dance is so well coordinated with the beat, and so on time that one simple mess up could throw you off until the chorus, or another break in the song. At least thats what I'm thinking, from just looking.
This girl is officially reminding me of Momoko in more ways than just her voice. Can't you just see Momoko in her eyes?
Anyways, if I was a newcomer to H!P watching this video, I would just assume she's a trainee. She looks ..I don't know, less professional than the other dancers, like this is all new to her.
That's okay, because it is. She really pulls off the innocent sexy look too. Whatever groups come for her after this, the other girls better look out. Yuuka was dropped on us like a cannonball. Unexpectedly yet effectively.
Okay, so I lied. The first dance shot isn't actually my favorite. This one is. The fact that its circle, and they're all facing in seperate directions and all doing a different thing is really effective.
What's this I'm seeing? Levels? Well call me crazy. Or something. I really like the use of levels. It's looking creative and very professional.
More levels, very well done.
Some Reina and Maimi looking incredibly hot in their close-ups. I have a question to ask. How can one possibly hate Reina in this video. Not only does her voice completely suit the song, but she really does look the part.
Saki, you're hot. I don't care what they say about you.
Anyways, this part of the PV is possibly my favorite. The jerky, sped up part. I have to say, its extremely fun to watch.
These still shots are looking incredibly nice, though is anyone being reminded of that "Love me like 100gags" or whatever song by berryz? I think these shots look very "artistic"
Again, I'm loving the entire spinning danceshot and everyone looking in different directions idea.
I'd add more Aichan closeups, but she looks exactly the same in every one. Like literally. Look:
It's kinda sad that we can only see half of her face here; because she's looking awesome.
There's less members in High King? Maybe that's it? We seem to notice her more than we do in Berryz vids. I mean admit it, you only notice her because of her height, usually.
If only High King can make Saki this hot, I say she ditch Berryz and do this full time. Though its most likely a one time unit.
This little part with Reina, for some reason, is really good to me. She looks incredibly cute, and like, perfect for her role. And then, she spins the camera away into the dance shot:
Okay, I have more to say about the dance. The dance follows the beat exactly. This part of the dance is so...hard. I don't know how to explain it! But to be exactly with the beat like that is really hard.
"Flick head, SLIDEEE"
My favorite move in H!P history.
I don't know, I'm loving how the pictures are transitioning exactly with the beat.
All of the pictures from this look really nice, but I'm having a hard time stopping for all of them, so I'll give you these Reina and Maeda ones.
What effect does this picture have on you? I'm thinking Planetarium/Kingyo Hanabi with a little less Otsuka Ai and a little more people who can't sing as well but are possibly as good looking. I think the group pictures are a good way to end the instrumental-hard-dancing part.
As the music video is ending, I find myself wondering "why exactly do I like this so much?"
Well, I don't know.
I think a major part is that a lot of my favorite members of Wonderful Hearts is in this group. Aichan, while not being at the top of my list, is still pretty far up there and is just becoming more and more my favorite as I get to know her personality. (There IS one. It's just kind of hard to find). Saki and Maimi have been favorites of mine for a long time, and I've always found Reina really cute. This video is the first thing I've really seen with yuuka in, and I must say it's a pretty damn amazing first opinion.
The video as a whole, in my opinion, is probably the best Hello! Project video I've seen. It may not be as fun as some of the others, or as cute, but this is really the image that they should be trying to portray. I'm sure not only these girls would suit the style.
The multiple dance shots, the "hot" costumes, the great hair+pimp hat capabilities, just everything together makes the PV look to me pretty high budget, even if it may not be.
It is a fabulous use of what they have been given.
One thing I'd like to ask AGAIN, why is reina and aichan given so much hate?
They are leads of Morning Musume because they can sing. They are pretty, and can sing. Maybe in the idol world, for wota, that may not get very far. But wouldn't you rather Morning Musume was easier on the ears? I listen to Hello! Project because I like to listen to them. I can't see how cute they are while listening on my ipod, unless I keep the light on and stare at the cover art.
Aichan and Reina are the reasons I listen to morning musume.
I give the PV a surprising ..
10/10- Great song, great PV. I want more High King, please. .
Not surprising for me, but maybe surprising to you
